Day 15: Biology As Missions

The time at Danitas has been incredible for our students. Today we wrapped up our third and final day in the clinic, and our students are tired but feeling fulfilled. We were able to see over 100 patients over the three days, and many of them left their impact on our students. Each child has a story, and we are feeling stretched in our hearts as well as our minds and skills. I loved seeing our students care for patients and work together.

In addition to the medical work, some of our students stepped into the classroom to provide a couple science classes. Together we are considering how Biology is more than a major, but a missional tool. God has given us knowledge and abilities in science, and we want to use them to change lives. The heart of this trip is transformational learning, and while we impact the lives of others, there is no doubt we have been transformed ourselves.
